This season marks the 11th collaboration between prolific designer Raf Simons and British brand Fred Perry. Like the two fashion forces’ previous collections, the latest is bold and rebellious, but with a new interpretation of today’s subculture. It sticks to a monochromatic color palette and abstract Africa-inspired forms as all-over prints and graphics. Specifically, Simons re-works the classic Fred Perry shirt numerous ways for spring and re-issues a classic slim-cut parka with abstract graphics across the back. Coinciding with the collection’s release, its edgy video has a steady beat in the background and features short sporadic clips of a shadowed model sporting the dark collection.
