Throwback Thursday: Vintage Boast Tennis Ads
These vintage BOAST Tennis ads from the 1970’s just entered our lives on the tail of the very 2012 #tbt, otherwise known as “throwback Thursday.” Whatever. Aside from making us think of pay phones, short shorts and fondu, we’re really focused on tucked-in polos. Why? Because it’s something that can go so wrong (hello, your last family reunion) but also something that can look sleek and smart. We’re giving nods to these looks as inspirations for the latter. If you are brazen enough to tuck your polo, go for a slim silhouette an do so with pants or shorts that you’re looking to show off (up to you if that means short shorts, but if it does, be ready to own it). Avoid if you can’t keep it tight in a way that’s flattering to your shape or if you’re wearing light wash denim. Oh, and see those carnations in the middle? Even with the bottle of champers, worst date gift ever.
