Daytime talk shows and those that host them have a love/hate relationship with Halloween. Love in that ratings usually tick up and hate in just about every other aspect. There’s the pressure to out-do the previous year’s costume on top of enduring social media’s judgmental gaze. Go big, you’re going cumbersome, and it’s a long hour sitting (or standing) on live national television. Go small, you’re forgettable, step to the side, wench.
