The Badoo Shoot
Badoo is the soccer of online social networking websites—Its popular the world over (140 million registered users with 125,000 new users every day) but few in the US have a clue as to what it is (Just call us the United States of Facebook). Well, this weekend, they set out to change that notion. (See why after the jump)
Over 1000 New Yorkers turned up to be shot by celebrity and fashion photographers as part of a huge media campaign by online social networking website the Badoo Project. Nick Cannon hosted the event, which also saw the likes of Vashtie, AfroPunk, Roble of Bravo’s Roble & Co., a girl with piano keys in her hair and a guy whose face is completely covered in tattoos. Judging by the pics and enthusiasm of typically jaded New Yorkers for the shoot, Badoo picked the perfect location and event to launch their invasion into the land of Facebook.
