The Hundreds Releases ‘60s-Inspired Eyewear Collection

The Hundreds EyewearImage: The Hundreds.

Streetwear titan The Hundreds expands its obsession with ‘60s Californian culture with its latest eyewear collection, inspired by icons Janis Joplin and Natalie Wood. Fusing styles from the rock ‘n’ roll era with vintage Hollywood, the glasses feature acetate frames, metal cores, and polarized lenses—two styles juxtaposed for a heightened narrative. The Janis style boasts a circular frame in black with green lenses, the quote “You can destroy your now by worrying about tomorrow” etched into the right arm. The Natalie features a tortoiseshell frame in a wayfarer shape with brown lenses, “The constant attention is what is so difficult” inscribed inside. Both have The Hundreds’ wildfire and bomb logos, heavy duty silver hinges and hardware, carrying cases, and cleaning cloths included within. The range is a characteristic release from the brand, having proven its dedication to re-imagining mainstream and underground culture. Its recent Red Letter collection paired early British skinhead vibes with Californian surf and skate tendencies, a movement out of which the label was born.

The Hundreds Announces Red Letter Collection

The HundredsImage: The Hundreds.

Part streetwear brand, part media platform, The Hundreds has consistently been on the leading edge of trending looks and its latest collection, dubbed Red Letter, is no exception. Straight-laced deconstructed and a throwback to British skinhead culture, the release is a brooding look at some instantly recognizable prep looks warped into an edgy, hardened aesthetic. A classic bomber dyed a slate black, the words “strength in numbers” plastered across the back, a woven button-up paired with overlong camo shorts – all haunted and distressed pieces from a bygone country club era. The Red Letter collection is more than just clothing, it is a statement, and The Hundreds is never afraid to speak its mind.

Coming off their recent capsule collection collab with streetwear cool kids The Hundreds, California sock-makers Richer Poorer release ANOTHER hard-hitting product team up today,  this time with tire-makers-turned-footwear-fanatics PF Flyers. Celebrating the latter’s arrival of a new model of its foundational Perkins shoe, the two brands have partnered up to produce a limited release, made-in-USA sock collection. Available in three different colors, each pair features a bold atomic crosshatch pattern intended to complement the softness of the Perkins shoe. First introduced decades ago, the updated style of the Perkins sees a cleaner design in a leather-bounded canvas body, and the new patterned socks add just enough pop.

Today, streetwear juggernauts The Hundreds launched a new collection with fellow Californians Richer Poorer, a collab sure to please the hypebeast in every man. Founded in Los Angeles in 2003, The Hundreds is a lifestyle brand that produces hip-hop influenced, distinctively SoCal men’s apparel. The new collection features four limited-edition products: black boxer briefs featuring The Hundreds’ recognizable “bomb” logo in a polka-dot print, as well as matching socks in black, yellow, and heather gray colorways. The socks aesthetically resemble Huf’s ubiquitous “plantlife” pairs, yet complement Richer Poorer’s vintage image. Equally at home with a pair of Vans or Timberlands, the collaboration effortlessly combines skateboarding style with rugged appeal. Plus, how often do you find underwear so dyn-o-mite?
