Scotch & Soda Releases Desert-Inspired SS18 Collection

Just in time for summer travel plans and away from NYC-sleet, Scotch & Soda dropped their newest campaign for SS18. The storyline follows behind on the shoulders of a wanderer treading the Jordanian desert and asking questions about everywhere.

The campaign represents the versatility of the collection, designed to be worn literally everywhere. The contemporary brand took an exotic turn with their pieces using sandy colors and unimposing fabrics. The result is desert-chic — paisley-patterned and Hawaiian-inspired shirts complement light patterned slacks.

The pieces, the location, and campaign effectively capture Scotch & Soda’s motto: Long live the way you call your own. The fashion label honors free-thinking, experimentation, and exploration in all. And even though the brand is based in Amsterdam, it is endlessly inspired by the world.

NBA All-Star Russell Westbrook Debuts Collaboration with Barneys

You might recall Russell Westbrook was the punchline of one of Drake’s best jokes during last week’s 2014 ESPY awards show, but the three-time NBA all-star (and apparent fashion victim) has just launched a clothing line in collaboration with luxury retailer Barneys New York that might be changing Drizzy’s opinion. Entitled “Westbrook XO-Barneys New York” the collection marks the Oklahoma City Thunder point guard’s inevitable debut in department stores nationwide and features denim, sportswear, leather goods, eyewear, footwear, and luggage all repping Westbrook’s playful style.

This first season of the ongoing collaboration features limited edition pieces in partnership with a diversity of power brands, including Jordan, Marcelo Burlon County of Milan, Naked & Famous, Want les Essentiels de la Vie, Selima Optique, Del Toro, and Globe Trotter. Westbrook was directly involved in the design process, ensuring that the collection reflects his well-documented personal aesthetic.

Colorful prints and extended silhouettes dominate, as does the long-trending combination of athletic shorts and man-leggings. And while averaging 20+ points per game might provide the confidence for some to sport a few of these styles, the full collection is now available online and at Barneys New York stores nationwide.

MCM Hypes FIFA World Cup with Cuteness Overload

1404-3-4 copy

If the FIFA World Cup is just an excuse for you to purchase over the top glassware—get ready because there are about two more months full of awful puns like that left—then we’ve got news for you and your shopping lists: there are more things to buy. No, we’re not suggesting jerseys—be they for the Al-Nashama from Jordan or Jeremy Scott AW13 (although the latter isn’t too far off)—but rather, MCM‘s latest München Cute Monsters release: a collection of backpacks, pouches, and wallets covered in overtly cute monster graphics. Fusing Brazilian trademarks such as carnival, samba street performances, beaches, and live music, the artwork on each piece reflects the jovial nature of the soccer-centric nation.
