5 Moncler Craig Green Just Released Foldable Puffer Coats

Over the years, Moncler has continued to inflate the puffy coat to new extremes. But for its newest release, in collaboration with British designer Craig Green, who similarly loves to play with proportion, it’s opted for convenience. The newest range from the pair manages to combine each’s showmanship and taste for volume with a new practical range of foldable outerwear.

5 Moncler Craig Green is a line of winter jackets — hooded parkas, puffers, and down coats — that can be deconstructed and condensed into small cubes. “Inspired by the properties of down filling, and how a relatively small quantity of the material has the ability to fill a much larger space, Green created featherweight outerwear that still maintains its protective qualities,” a statement reads. In addition to the compact nature to the outerwear, which is still incredibly voluminous and warm, the dismantlable properties of the coat make for a convenient, as well as statement-making, winter option.

5 Moncler Craig Green is available in select boutiques and online now.

Jil Sander Will be a Guest Designer at Pitti Uomo

Jil Sander was announced as the first official guest designer for this year’s upcoming Pitti Uomo conference in Florence. Lucie and Luke Meier, who have overseen the label’s creative direction since 2017, will debut a new menswear collection during the Fall/Winter 2020 edition of the event.

“We first met in Florence, and never imagined that we would be back here together showing at Pitti Uomo,” the designers said in a statement. “This opportunity is a truly special one, and we look forward to contributing to the legacy of this city and Pitti Uomo.”

Pitti Uomo is a biannual institution that celebrates the current state and future of menswear. Previous guest designers of the conference have included Craig Green, Givenchy, Sterling Ruby, and Y/Project.

More details about the forthcoming Pitti Uomo Fall/Winter 2020 conference will be announced next month.

The Craig Green S/S 19 Campaign is Fit for a Museum

When it comes to creative campaigns, British designer Craig Green has long opted out of shooting models, instead preferring to showcase the clothes in their own compositions. The latest campaign (shot by Dan Tobin Smith) is no different and features prints from the Spring/Summer ’19 collection displayed in museum-ready arrangements.

Constructed with straw, wood, and paint, the pieces explore themes of ephemeral power, displaying various figures in battle with animals in a near triptych-like presentation. It’s definitely a captivating and cinematic way to showcase the latest output from the creative label. Check out more of the images below.

Power through unity becomes the driving message in Craig Green‘s Autumn/Winter 2017 campaign. Inspired by Leonardo da Vinci’s Vitruvian Man and recreations of Hindu deities, the prints—lensed by Dan Tobin Smith—speak to geometrical artistry and reflective depth. Proving that a machine is only as good as the sum of its parts, the images profess power through nature and organic life.

Weekly Instagram Roundup: G-Star RAW, Craig Green, and More

This week’s complete social snapshot, distilled for your pleasure.

From the hottest celebrity parties to the regretful morning-after shots, ESSENTIAL HOMME‘s Weekly Instagram Roundup brings all of the hottest designer, model, and trendsetting pics from the week directly to you. After all, no one has time to scroll through anything but the best.

G-Star RAW

G-Star RAW shed 360-degree light on its latest eyewear collection in a short clip detailing the new, retro-inspired shades. With a larger lens and dynamic frames, the pieces follow suit of the brand’s Spring/Summer 2017 campaign to project an edgy flair and a stark rebelliousness from the label’s Head of Imagination Pharrell Williams.

Craig Green

After subverting the season with a new Core collection—meant to ground the company in staple pieces—Craig Green showcases its Spring/Summer 2017 looks with abandon. Available at Dover Street Market NY, the collection rallies against tradition with a closed front/open back design, deconstructing garments to their barebones minimum to highlight the precision and constructive skill of the label.

DSQUARED2

Swimwear gets a Canadian update as DSQUARED2 highlights its latest graphic beachwear. A cleaner look than its most recent runway, where acid wash and fishnet tops reigned supreme, the swimwear and matching accessories offer a more streamlined wardrobe. The eye-grabbing palette, with its bolt of shocking orange and masculine army green base, make the trunk’s inhibitive persona known.

Jordan Fisher

Alabama-born artist Jordan Fisher shared an on-stage look at his Wango Tango KIIS FM concert, joined by fellow performer and friend Olivia Holt for the sunny spectacle. The singer, known for roles in projects like “Teen Beach Movie” and Fox’s “Grease: Live,” not to mention a quick stint in “Hamilton,” has seen quite the year. His next venture, singing the National Anthem at the Veuve Clicquot Polo Classic event in New Jersey’s Liberty State Park, only solidifies his rising star.

Craig Green Transcends Spring Season with New Core Collection

[slider_pro id=”116″]

Images: Craig Green.

Designer Craig Green‘s eponymous label straddles two very differing worlds—deconstructed simplicity and emotive interpretation. Aiming to ground the company and offer more applicable, ready-to-wear pieces, the brand debuts the core collection, just weeks before its upcoming Autumn/Winter 2017 line. Though Craig Green’s history may be short, the label having only opened its doors in 2012, the latest release pulls from the archives to update popular past looks with a refined touch, showcasing learned progression alongside soon-to-be-signature styles. Entirely centered around string fastenings—they are visible not only in core but also throughout the English label’s runways—the range of shirts, jackets, trousers, and sweaters come in iterations as ranging as a relaxed fit worker, elastic blend wool, a visual quilted texture, and a tailored fit silhouette. With select options updated seasonally—for fall a striped light blue permeates dark navies and blacks—the line in its entirety is simple, though its generational-retention and pair-ability makes a strong argument for its wardrobe-grounding dependability.

Craig Green‘s Spring/Summer 2017 campaign bears an illuminated weight, one that wrestles with a Renaissance revitalization, the kinetic beauty of human movement, and religion’s writhing anguish—all working hand-in-hand to create a haunting visual.
