gucci pret a porter campaign fw 19 fw 20

#GucciPretAPorter is a Dazzling FW19-20 Campaign

For its latest campaign, the Italian designer took the streets of Paris for an opulent and glitzy Fall/Winter 19-20 campaign dubbed #GucciPretAPorter. Creative director Alessandro Michele oversaw the concept, which references the entire process that goes into designing and constructing such intricate and showstopping garments, from paper-drawn concept to fittings. The extravagant image sequence explores retro advertising themes as part of its narrative to expose the different aspects of which clothing and fashion as an industry are consumed, whether on the runway, in a boutique, or on the streets of the fashion capital. Art direction was handled by Christopher Simmonds and Glen Luchford shot the images.

fendi mens fw19 campaign

Watch the Fendi Men’s FW19 Campaign Video Now

The latest Fendi video campaign for its Fall/Winter 2019 collection experiments with quick cuts, sharply blending futurism with the classic. This theme was emphasized in the collection as a whole since creative director Silvia Venturini Fendi collaborated with the late Karl Lagerfeld on a selection of pieces to honor their lifelong creative relationship.

The garments are focused around classic muted tones such as black, beige and brown; yet add accents of red and electric blue. Keeping with the classic and futuristic motif, the Fendi logo for this collection has been updated to the ‘Karligraphy’ FF logo. Shot in Rome by Giulio Tami, under the direction of Fendi as well as the artistic direction of Nico Vascellari, the accompanying campaign video is a composition of dynamic shapes and formats new ways to show off the pieces and honor the Italian brand’s history. Watch the video below.

Prada Fall/Winter 2019 Campaign

Check Out Prada’s Oh So Romantic F/W ’19 Campaign

Prada‘s Fall/Winter 2019 campaign dubbed “Anatomy of Romance” is a reinterpretation of romance as an idea rather than strictly just a feeling of love between humans. The brand sees romance in new love, new life, artistic movements, and different modes of expression. The campaign is softened by floral elements in the form of accessories and set decor, and the characters themselves look to be resting as if they’re in the Garden of Eden — daydreaming and creating all sorts of romance. Look at some of the images above.

Harmony Korine Shoots Harry Styles for Gucci

Fresh from hosting the 2019 Met Gala, newly appointed Camp king Harry Styles is back in a new Gucci Tailoring campaign. Shot by famed director Harmony Korine, the latest image series captures the former One Direction-er and some animal friends in some surreal-ish backdrops furnished with antiques and oddities — the setting says Grey Gardens, but the immaculate tailoring and whimsical color scheme give off a Wes Anderson vibe. And in an accompanying video, Korine’s signature grainy camerawork only enhances the overall opulent absurdism.

Styles’ relationship with Gucci is a strong one — he most recently attended the Met Gala with the Italian label’s creative director and fellow co-host Alessandro Michele — and he starred in last year’s campaign, which was shot in a fish shop in London. Check out the video below.

Models Wander Aimlessly in Balenciaga’s Latest Campaign

Since landing at Balenciaga in late 2015, designer/disruptor Demna Gvasalia has consistently challenged the fashion industry — he’s opted out of the traditional show cycle and made headlines with the impractical but utterly meme-able pieces (like those platform Crocs from the Spring ’18 collection) that have helped the luxury label double its profits since he took over — while keeping it delightfully strange. The newest campaign, shot by artist Jean-Pierre Attal in his first fashion campaign ever, is no different. In the images, captured in breathtaking deserts in Morocco and Lanzarote, models are wandering aimlessly while decked out in the latest collection, in an attempt to blur the lines between work and play. The contrast is striking, with the chic and print-heavy collection obviously standing out against the natural setting, but we’ve come to expect nothing less from the designer. Just check out its Instagram.

Noah Centineo Calvin Klein campaign

Calvin Klein’s New Campaign is a Star-Studded Affair

Since launching in 1968, Calvin Klein has continued to set new standards with its captivating ads. From the 1982 Tom Hintnaus underwear campaign that would revolutionize the men’s market to its amplification of the ‘heroin chic’ trend of the late ’90s, the American designer knows how to get people talking. And its newest is no different, casting a feast of young and emerging talent in the global I SPEAK MY TRUTH campaign.

Previous brand faces like Noah Centineo, Shawn Mendes, Kendall Jenner, and A$ap Rocky are cast alongside new faces like Troye Sivan, Kevin Abstract, and Billie Eilish in a dizzying new video that invites the viewer to ‘speak their truth’ while decked out in the latest CK merch. Since the brand announced it would shutter its runway collections back in March, the latest seems to indicate a return to the fresh minimalism that the label is renowned for. See for yourself below.

The Craig Green S/S 19 Campaign is Fit for a Museum

When it comes to creative campaigns, British designer Craig Green has long opted out of shooting models, instead preferring to showcase the clothes in their own compositions. The latest campaign (shot by Dan Tobin Smith) is no different and features prints from the Spring/Summer ’19 collection displayed in museum-ready arrangements.

Constructed with straw, wood, and paint, the pieces explore themes of ephemeral power, displaying various figures in battle with animals in a near triptych-like presentation. It’s definitely a captivating and cinematic way to showcase the latest output from the creative label. Check out more of the images below.

Versace’s SS19 Campaign is a Family Affair

For its latest campaign, Versace has once again partnered with Steven Meisel on an opulent series of images for its Spring/Summer ’19 collection. With a newspaper collage theme (which echoes a series of prints from the line) the campaign honors the Italian brand’s history and heritage with an emphasis on the family nature of the label. A video shows a model surrounded by different periodicals, creating a collage that spells out ‘Versace,’ highlighting the label’s omnipresence in the world — an imprint as “permanent as ink on skin.” Familiar faces like Bella Hadid are featured alongside rising models like João Knorr, a beloved mix of seasoned and new members of the designer family.

The campaign celebrates Versace’s ubiquitous nature and its permanent presence in contemporary pop culture. While trends continue to phase in and out from season to season, the iconic Donatella Versace continues to steer the luxury label in its own lane and further cement its legacy. And a simple yet exuberant campaign like this reminds us that it’s always a family matter.

The Versace SS19 collection is available in stores and online now. Check out the campaign below.

Reebok Updates a Classic from ’93

Reebok has updated another one of its seminal sneaker models from the ’90s, the Aztrek Double. To celebrate the nostalgic launch, the sportswear brand is rolling out a multi-platform campaign, featuring ambassadors Cardi B and Future, and inviting customers to ‘Sport the Unexpected.’ The elaborate campaign (available on all Reebok platforms) includes exclusive video footage that explores some of the label’s most popular sneakers, as well of the gear in action at a basketball game. Originally launched in 1993, the Aztrek Double remains one of Reebok’s most recognizable shoes and has been reimagined in a crisp all-white style for the modern consumer, with two more color options to be released later this year.

The Reebok Aztrek Double is available online now.

Russell Westbrook Sports Acne Studios S/S 19

For its Spring/Summer 2019 campaign, Acne Studios cast professional basketball player Russell Westbrook. Shot by Juergen Teller, the campaign features the Oklahoma City Thunder star donning the Swedish label’s iconic denim line (jeans were the first piece the label launched when it was founded over 20 years ago).

“I was already a huge fan of Acne Studios, so I was really excited when they asked me to be the face for their new campaign,” Westbrook said in a statement. “I really identify with Acne Studios because their aesthetic is very unique, and I like to be unique too.”

The images show Westbrook in his native Oklahoma wearing a pair of 1996 fit jeans, happily enjoying the outdoors and dribbling a basketball on a court. See some of the images below.

AMI’s S/S 19 Campaign Takes You Countryside

Ami‘s latest campaign (shot by Mark Peckmezian) takes the label’s effortless Parisian cool and transports it to the sunny countryside. In a lively series of images, models sport the S/S 19 collection while handling produce, shovels, and participating in various farm-appropriate activities. The campaign also involves a lot of chickens, perhaps indicating a larger trend of animal-led designer campaigns (remember that Gucci campaign celebrating the Year of the Pig?) taking over. Check out some of the images below.
