adidas by Raf Simons Spring/Summer 2016 Styles

Having claimed its throne on the ever-growing trend of high fashion sneakers, adidas by Raf Simons unveiled its Spring/Summer 2016 collection during Paris Fashion Week last week. The upcoming series continues the collaborative labels’ signature styles—the Stan Smith, the Ozweego 2 and, the Response Trail—and introduces the brand new Stan Smith Strap, all of which boast distinct features and individualistic charm. Here we take a closer look into each shoe.

Redefining adidas’ most wanted model, the adidas by Raf Simons Stan Smith combines polished leathers with the signature ‘R’ perforated quarter in classic white, shiny light cooper, and silver, as well as the line’s new hues—blush yellow, ash pink, and night marine.

The adidas by Raf Simons Stan Smith Aged offers a vintage look with a worn, beat-up treatment in all-over black or white.

In contrast to the former two’s simplistic look, the adidas by Raf Simons Ozweego 2 features a more avant-garde design, with a layered upper, running-inspired profile, and transparent silicone windows. The series comes in khaki and deep green and a special model in black, blue, and brown tones.

Response Trail 2

The adidas by Raf Simons Response Trail 2 is the last of the carry-over styles, featuring a visually vibrant design with the season-friendly white and green or red and blue, as well as two TPU heel spoilers to switch up the looks.

A cutting-edge addition to the Spring/Summer 2016 collection, the adidas by Raf Simons Stan Smith Strap introduces a buckle strap version of the classic Stan Smith, bringing an innovative twist of refinement to the ’80s inspired Velcro straps of the original back-to-basics model. The new shoe comes in its signature fine leathers and Raf Simons branding in green and white, blue and red, or black and white.

adidas by Raf Simon’s Spring/Summer 2016 collection will be available at adidas concept stores and select boutiques in mid-February 2016.

In its fifth season of collaboration, adidas by Raf Simons continues to rework classic styles from the athletic brand—returning past Simons’ season favorites like the Raf Simons Stan Smith, Ozweego II, and Response Trail II—while embracing two new silhouettes, the Response Trail Robot and the Ozweego Robot, for a nostalgically far out grouping of sporty and stylish footwear that radiate with vintage spacey flair. The shoes, which span from citrus dipped to very restrained creams with underlaying peeks of whites and grays, pair naturally with Simons‘s own Autumn/Winter ready-to-wear collection, an exercise in both power and control, as safe points of departure.

The collection ranges in price from $455 to $730 and will be available at select retailers and online starting mid-July 2015.
