Paul Smith + David Bowie: The Next Day T-Shirt…Today
Having iconic Brit designer Paul Smith create the official t-shirt for iconic Brit rock star David Bowie’s latest album is an exciting team-up, given the two are close friends and separately, have both defined English style for decades. The artwork, designed by Jonathan Barnbrook, is itself a nod to Bowie’s iconic Heroes album cover, which was photographed by Masayoshi Sukita, a friend of Paul Smith and recent exhibitor at Paul Smith’s Space gallery in Tokyo, and will be printed on organic cotton, complimented by simple ‘Paul Smith for David Bowie’ insignia. The t-shirt drops today online, tomorrow in Paul Smith stores and Bowie’s latest album, The Next Day, officially releases on March 11th.
