Nike launched its global sports empire in 1979 with the original Nike Windrunner. Today, in partnership with Italian sportswear label Stone Island, Nike off-shoot NikeLab is revamping and rebranding this iconic look with a vibrant new piece designed for a new generation of athlete. With its foundation set firmly on Stone Island’s reputation for challenging material and reworking textile norms, the latest Windrunner is more adept and perfected than ever before. Available in a rainbow of strong, pulsating colors, the jacket is the second installment in NikeLab and Stone Island’s collaboration, following last year’s monochromatic rework, and is a physical representation of the quality and forward momentum each company professes. Ideal for on the track and off, the Windrunner of today is a bold new step towards a brightly colored future.
