A Hand Made NATO Watch Strap from Feit
Feit has just added a handsome looking NATO watch strap to their cache beautiful, all natural, hand made sneakers and accessories. Some historical contexting: NATO straps were originally made for the British military and only made in admiralty grey nylon and in one width—20mm, and with an extra long strap so it could be worn over pilot’s flight suits (this spring, maybe your light jacket). The buckle is on the side so it is less likely to catch on weapons or, you know, your clothing. Tull Price, the company’s founder (who also works with Rag & Bone) says “Such a badass watch strap deserves a little more than grey nylon so we gave it the FEIT treatment, and because we don’t have a 007 permit to pollute, we used our Italian vegetable leather, which is tanned without any chrome or harmful chemicals.” Only 20 straps of each color—marine (dark navy), natural (leather) and nero (black)—will be made and they’re up for pre-order, in sizes 18,20 or 22mm now for $165.
