It’s Been A Long Week: Ray Poblano
As true believers of the work hard, play hard mantra, we present you with It’s Been a Long Week, a weekly column aimed at awarding some liquid appreciation to you for just being yourself, dammit. Make yourself a glass or two, on us — you deserve it.
West Village’s Upright is one of our favorite bars lately a bit on the DL but equally as yummy on the mixology side. Settle down for a summer rum cocktail or ask the bartenders to whip up anything else on tap or handmade. Perfect for a cozy little date or a catchup with friends, you truly won’t regret this Hudson St. bar. To convince you further, we’ve got the recipe for a Ray Polano for you (you’re welcome!):
Ingredients:
- 1.5 oz. white rum
- 1 oz. Ancho Verde
- .75 oz. honey syrup
- .75 oz. lime juice
- 2 dashes of Angostura bitters

Method:
- Shake all ingredients together and serve tall over crushed ice
- Top with Angostura bitters
- Garnish with a fresh mint sprig
