HERMAN MILLER COLLECTION AND POP UP SHOP
Herman Miller, makers of sleek home furnishings, recently renewed and re-issued much of its original works and they’ve selected a pop up shop in Soho, Manhattan to introduce it to you. Drawing on the moniker and underlying principals have defined the company since its inception in 1948, the Herman Miller Collection immediately enables stylish, comfortable and accessible environments in myriad settings—from the boardroom, to the bistro, to the backyard. The shop marks the first public display and sale of the renewed Herman Miller Collection, a comprehensive portfolio of products that, as is Herman Miller’s mantra, offers the ability to combine environments – home and office, work and play, indoor and outdoor. Taking its cue directly from the 1952 writings of George Nelson, Herman Miller’s then director of design, the portfolio represents “the continuing creation of a permanent collection designed to meet fully the requirements for modern living.” If you happen to be in NYC this summer, stop by the shop at 68 Wooster Street (between Spring and Broome). It’ll b there through July 1st. Otherwise, check out their website here!
