The announcer’s pronunciation of “sharp” is completely unintelligible — sounds like “shuh,” or “shup” or “shut.” Given that the the ad’s knee-deep attitude suggests it’s sharing some cutting-edge slang with the viewer, I actually googled to find out what the mystery word was. Discovering that the word is “sharp,” which hasn’t be cutting edge since 1963, makes the ad laughably pretentious. Not a clue as to what they’re selling. Suits? Cars? Language tapes to correct pronunciation problems? Could be any of these.
