G-Star RAW and Afrojack Collaborate for Autumn/Winter 2016 Collection

Fresh off its new campaign and partnership with co-owner Pharrell, G-Star RAW has broadened its musical connections with another Autumn/Winter 2016 collection by DJ Afrojack.

The collection features an urban take on American sportswear classics, with a black sateen bomber jacket, a range of crew neck T-shirts (with short, three-quarter, and long sleeves), a sweatshirt, a hoodie, a trucker cap, and a Snapback—a must-have accessory for Afrojack, who often wears them during sets. G-Star’s bold RAW label features in red across the collection, with the “A” transformed into Afrojack’s logo. Honoring the 20th anniversary of its iconic Elwood 5620 jeans, the brand includes a super slim black-coated pair, boasting zips at the ankles that give them a biker edge. The updated Elwoods feature alongside a pair of Thai-style fisherman pants, with a drop-crotch and the brand’s signature stitching at the knees. Unmistakable in the collaboration, both Afrojack and G-Star opt for bolder colors—black, red, and white – contrasting with raw denim. “Together with G-Star we created pieces that are an extension of who I am,” says Afrojack on the collaboration. “The collection consists of styles I can easily wear performing and traveling.”
