Fjällräven Pop Up Store Coming to Manhattan

Fjällräven Pop Up Store Coming to Manhattan

A cold and rainy—at times hurricane-y fall—hopefully isn’t an indication of a long winter ahead. But even if it is, fear not because our favorite arctic fox, Fjällräven (you know, the Scandinavian outdoor lifestyle and apparel brand), is sliding in to warm our benumbed limbs.  On Tuesday, November 20th, Fjällräven is bringing their love of nature to the streets of Manhattan, as they launch a three-month long pop-up store in Soho just in time for the schmolidays. Not only will this be the exclusive retail location for their yet-to-launch Number Collectiona very nice looking set of outdoor performance wear—the store will also carry winter friendly brands such as Shwood Sunglasses, Granffors Bruks Axes (yes, axes), Hestra Gloves, Darn Tough Socks, and Apolis Accessories.  But this is no mom and pop-up store, no, this boutique’s interior (executed by Brooklyn based Square Design Inc) will boast oversized barnwood tables and a “Kånken Bar” (think denim bar, but for the brand’s famed backpack). You’ll be encouraged to donate gently worn coats to benefit victims of Hurricane Sandy with fun incentives like a 30% off kickback on any outerwear…if you donate. The Fjällräven pop up store will be located at 21 Howard Street (between Crosby and Lafayette) and remain there till February 28, 2013. By the way, you can check out the entire Number Collection after the jump.
