Essential Event: Emporio Armani Sounds x Standard Sounds Vol 1

Transfixed by the panoramic view atop The Standard East’s penthouse terrace, last night, July 22, 2014, Emporio Armani welcomed its first New York occurrence of Emporio Armani Sounds, a global series of events celebrating the brand’s inspirational tie to music and the vivacious beat-fueled communities that drop it low in key cities around the world. Teaming up with André Balazs’ The Standard Sounds, a like-minded program featuring in-resident DJs and live performances at the hotel’s chains around the United States, Emporio Armani Sounds x Standard Sounds kicked off its inaugural holding with DJ sets by Nightmares on Wax and Ewan Pearson. Other notable attendees included photographer Michael Avedon, producer Brendan Fallis, fashion royalty Julia Restoin Roitfeld, DJ Mia Moretti, and, of course, us!
