DIOR HOMME'S UNIQUE POP FOR THE SUMMER

Rather than leave a big void in the New York retail scene while they ready their midtown flagship for a major renovation, Dior Homme has presented its fans with a unique opportunity—to shop in a limited-run pop-up located in Soho (133 Greene Street). Aside from housing a mix of merch from clothing to accessories to fragrance, there is also art—creative Director Kris Van Assche hand picked a bold piece by post-situationist artist Robert Montgomery to greet customers a the door.  Reading—Whenever you see the sun reflected in the window of a building, it is an angel—it sets the tone for appreciating the little joys of life, like a summer-long Dior Homme “replacement” shop. Of course the bigger joy will come in early fall 2012 when we they reopen their redesigned and expanded main store. Might Montgomery then alter his art to read “Whenever you see the sun reflected in a Dior store, it is an angel”? Please. (More images of the store after the jump)
