Carhartt WIP and RETROSUPERFUTURE Extend Eyewear Partnership in AW15

Four seasons in, and the partnership between Carhartt WIP and Italian eyewear designer RETROSUPERFUTURE shows no signs of slowing down. The latest Autumn/Winter 2015 line, a mashup of both American-utilitarian feel and Italian style, offers three new designs that provoke a new-age elegance while staying true to Carhartt’s railroad worker, Detroit-based inception. Available in a range of brazen colors—red Havana, black matte, metallic grey, and blue matte among them—the triple-threat of specs is an innovative addition to a partnership that spawns some of eyewear’s best. The Stokely, the undisputed superstar of the collaboration, offers a definitive, elegant crafting with a comfortably chic finish that frames the face in a downward sloping curve. The Farwell, the Stokely’s wide-lensed cousin, suggests a rounded, inherently masculine ‘50s bridge between the modern Stokely and the dual-color Dickinson Matte, a posh rocker that appears almost British in wear and shaping. All constructions feature the same cat-eye upturned frames and durable hardware construction of exceptional Italian acetate, giving the line a fusion of utility, identity, and character that allows the wearer a classic 20th-century personality with a grounding in bold contemporary flair.
